More about Gold →How joining works
- Create an account. Parents and guardians register their young person. If you're 18 or over, you can register yourself.
- Add each participant. One account can hold several young people at different levels.
- We place you in a group. A leader adds each participant to their cohort, such as "Gold 2027".
- See your dates. Wednesday theory evenings, training days and expeditions appear in your account, ready to book and pay.
What we run
Wednesday evening sessions cover the theory behind expeditions – navigation, campcraft, first aid and route planning.
Weekend training days put that into practice outdoors, and are free.
Practice and qualifying expeditions take groups away for the weekend. These have a separate charge to cover travel, campsites and equipment.
